Hi folks!

I'm Peter Broughton.
Welcome to my website!

I’m a professional actor, theatre maker, acting coach and artist.
I have been working in the performing arts industry for over 20 years and have been lucky enough to gain valuable experience through my Drama School training and University education.

In my former years I was part of my local youth theatre, taking on multiple lessons throughout the week and being part of all performances. I joined National Diploma Acting Course at Peterborough Regional College and graduated with Triple Distinction. During this time, I also taught at Stage Stars Theatre Academy and Stanwell School in Penarth, Wales since then I have worked as an acting coach on a number of projects and love working with actors to aid them in realizing their full potential. I have experience teaching in reception, junior and secondary schools and youth theatre, and I take pride in running engaging and diverse workshops.

In 2012 I was offered a place on the Cert H.E (Foundation) Course at East 15 Acting School. Here I gained a diverse and detailed knowledge in areas such as improvisation, voice, movement, script work and stage craft to name a few.

After Drama School I partook in a Summer Course with the Royal Shakespeare Company gaining my RSC Educational Training Certificate. I was lucky enough to work closely with directors, producers, historians and actors.

Then, I was accepted into Exeter University where I achieved a 2.1 in a Bachelor’s Degree (With Honors) in Drama. Here I really found my feet as a performer, I took on as many productions as I could, through the university itself and through different societies. My degree also gave my valuable skills in theatre making, and made me appreciate the importance of creating your own work, and giving opportunities to others.

After graduating I worked on a number of plays and short film projects both as an actor and collaborator. I worked on my first short film, and joined Mask Theatre Company. I also performed at the Edinburgh fringe festival, and had my first pieces of art in a hung in a public gallery.

During the pandemic I started teaching LAMDA exam and Drama school audition technique online. Last year I became a member of Equity and moved to London to pursue my career in professional acting. I shot my first full length feature film Mother Maker Lover Taker and attended Elements of RADA and National Theatre voice workshops.
